BiG Motivational Wellbeing Programmes

Schools Motivational and Educational Programmes

We understand that personal implications can affect learning and provide unwanted distractions. The aim of these programmes are to find ways to connect with students through fun and engaging methods. Our school’s motivational and educational programmes are designed to support 8-12-year-olds develop a more positive attitude to learning using fun hidden curriculum activities.

SHOCK programme

SHOCK is BiG’s leading and specialist programme that supports vulnerable students - those with behavioural and special educational needs - instilling educational and social confidence. Focussing on foundation tools, SHOCK supports the good work teachers do in academic learning and is targeted at year key stage 2 and 3 students, delivered in class and using outdoor physical activities involving peer to peer learning and team challenge activities.

Through the SHOCK programme, pupils will leave the workshops:

  • Feeling an improvement in self-esteem, resilience, and confidence

  • A sense of stronger relationship building with peers

  • More equipped to become effective learners

  • Discovering own strategies to manage personal and external challenges

The BiG Leadership programme

It is delivered mainly in primary schools to whole classes during PE time or as a planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) cover activity. By the end of the programme, pupils will learn to:

  • Effectively set up activities developing their organisational skills
